Progress:
After successfully visiting the two museums, I feel like the art presented at OCMA was more realistic compared to the ones at the Long Beach Museum of Art. Therefore, I certainly enjoyed the museum at Long Beach more because there were more vibrant colors and 3-D sculptures shown. It even had a VIEW! The museum had a theme unlike OCMA and I feel like the theme was represented well. I also think I gained a new perspective on art after visiting this museum. Nevertheless, I enjoyed both locations and would definitely come back to show my friends! Below are a few similarities and differences when comparing the two museums.
OCMA:
Long Beach Museum of Art:
Similarities:
Reflection:
Both museums presented art that you would not imagine at a typical art museum. The art presented really seemed to come "alive." For each museum, there were different artists that came from different parts of the world so they not all American born citizens. Therefore, I was able to see the effect of a certain culture on art. Lastly, I really enjoyed how these artists truly expressed their feelings and emotions when creating these pieces because their art really showed. I would love to one day interview an artist or find out how they get their inspiration.

Until my next blog post when I visit the Museum of Tolerance, a museum is based on history! :-)

OCMA:
- There was an activity that allowed guests to make arts and crafts.
- It had rooms dedicated to an entire art piece.
Long Beach Museum of Art:
- Once again, it had an amazing view of the ocean.
- There were more art pieces that I liked.
- Aubrey Kawasaki's art was featured!
Similarities:
- They both had eye opening art near the entrance of the museum.
- They had varieties of art that are not just paintings placed on a wall.
